Who We Are
Dr Luauna Stines, President and Founder, of A Touch From Above, LSM Inc. Her goal is to reach the world for Jesus, ministering for over 25 years and received an honorary doctorate from the Interdenominational Ministries International Bible College & Seminary; a District Ministerial License from LIFE Bible College of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. She also holds an education certificate in Ministry Training and Development from Oral Roberts University. Dr. Stines is also the founder of Victorious Homes for Men and Women, a discipleship program which has had over 500 men and women come through the program for over 20 years in Colorado, Oregon and California.

Dr. Stines is a preacher and evangelist. She is a sought after speaker, she has preached the gospel all over the world: In many countries such as South Korea; Australia; England; Germany; Mexico; Malawi, Central Africa; not to mention throughout the United States. Dr. Luauna also ministers on television, which touches the hearts of thousands with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  A Touch From Above television program airs throughout California as far away as the East Coast to Atlanta, Georgia. Jill Campbell, started out in the Victorious Homes for Men and Women, she was one
of our first young ladies who came into the program. Having both of her parents die from alcoholism, Jill has dedicated her whole life in the service of the Lord. She was also delivered from alcoholism and drugs, grateful for her freedom, she made a decision that she would be a servant, giving back. Jill has volunteered 25 years of service as a missionary in A Touch From Above Ministries, not only to America, but she has traveled abroad, as an incredible minister of helps. She has traveled to Africa, Korea, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and as of today, continues to dedicate her whole life to the service of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jill also volunteers her time in the Finance Department. She is dedicated and committed to our vision. Her experience and training in the U.S. Army and Compassion International have given her skills, which are a benefit to our ministry.

George LaGrange one of our brave heroes, what an honor and a privilege it is to have Mr. George and his wife Linda in our ministry, married for 36 years and a wonderful example to young married couples. They had six children, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Having gone through the storms of life, they have stood the test of time, including the sad death of their son, who had a bout with leukemia. Mr. George is
a kind and humble man, who served three and a half tours in Vietnam, 2 years with the Air Force and 18 months with the Navy Seabees, served 15 years Active Duty, and later retired from the Air Force Reserves. Truly a servant, proud of his country, and not ashamed of the gospel. He prays for our troops which can also be heard on our CD audio series and upcoming book, "40 Days of Prayer," praying for every military base in the United States and around the world.

Kaweah Angel, is an incredibly gifted vocalist.  She received Christ when she was only six years old. Kaweah performed in her first musical production at seven years of age.  Having a vision to sing she has dedicated her life to the purpose of reaching the lost, displayed through the words of the songs she writes, heart-gripping reaching out with the love of God. She sings like King David when he sang and soothed the hearts of the people. Having worked side by side with her mother, Dr. Luauna Stines, in ministry for 20 years as a minister of music. The richness of her voice has touched thousands, she has also traveled throughout the world using her God-given talent and great gift, her singing, is a gift to the body of Christ and the broken-hearted.  Dr. Luauna has produced three CD's with Kaweah as the vocalist, "He Is Risen," "Our Liberty," dedicated to the support of our brave troops, and "Christmas with Kaweah Angel."  These are available in our bookstore, all proceeds go to reach the lost.  Pick up your CD today, you will be so blessed and encouraged! Beverly Maes, came into our second Victorious Homes for Women and grew in the amazing grace of God. Looking for purpose and vision, she discovered God could use her life, she became the Director of the second home. Later, she became Director of three homes in Oregon. Beverly has been a blessing, and what an honor it is to have her as Administrative Support for our ministry for almost 20 years and she is a Missionary, volunteering and giving her life to the purpose of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Her training in public speaking and people skills are an asset, she oversees the Prayer Lines for the television ministry. Beverly occasionally teaches new believers and speaks on women in ministry. Beverly has over 19 years of experience with computers and provides support as needed.

Isaac Gomani, Director of Operations, A Touch From Above, Mission Africa. Dr. Luauna met Isaac Gomani on a missionary trip to Malawi, Africa in 2004. Having met a wonderful couple, Mr. & Mrs. Charles Trombley, who have dedicated their lives to build an orphanage and school in the middle of the bush of Malawi, they have 138 children. Dr. Luauna had the wonderful privilege to minister at a Bible Conference onsite to hundreds of ministers in the village of Amalika and throughout the surrounding villages.  After struggling with the first interpreter, Dr. Luauna noticed Isaac Gomani.  Between the breaks, she approached Isaac and asked him several questions, noticing he could answer somewhat clear, Dr. Luauna told Isaac, "You are my next interpreter."  They went together like a hand in a glove.

The following day, they were out throughout the villages, preaching and ministering and seeing thousands come to Christ, it was just the beginning of a wonderful friendship.  Their meeting was the destiny of God for A Touch From Above, Mission Africa and for the future of Malawi. In 2005, Dr. Luauna brought Isaac to San Diego, California and trained him for almost one year. Isaac and his wife Ruth have established our first satellite office in Blantyre, he is overseeing our operations there and is establishing the groundwork for Dr. Luauna’s future missionary trips, radio program and to build a Bible college in Malawi. Isaac will translate sermons and the bible into Chichewa, the official language of Malawi. The Lord has chosen this young man and his beautiful wife, to be the front runners for our Mission Africa, reaching all of Africa for Jesus!


Rhonda Butcher Director of Worship. Dr. Luauna met Rhonda for the first time over 13 years ago, having the opportunity to work together in worship. Dr. Luauna noticed a wonderful anointing and how well they worked together to see souls saved. A Touch From Above is so honored to have Rhonda join us with her wonderful talent and gifting as a music minister.

Rhonda started her music ministry singing in church at 15 years old and later playing the piano. From that time, she has ministered in conferences and retreats all over the United States including other countries: Cuba and Scotland.
