Ministry is dealing with people, sometimes 24/7. What a joy when you are in the ministry and you love what you are doing. Jesus came, not for buildings, not for programs, not for children's services. He came for people!
So many times, we have preconceived idea that ministry is the glamour behind the pulpit. But, the reality is, ministry is work and continual dealing with people. We prepare you at A Touch From Above Bible College to learn to work close with people.
- Our dorms are set-up where you will live together with other women for one year.
- I cannot tell you how much this will prepare you for the days ahead in your ministry.
- Ladies, we must learn to die to ourselves.
- How will we do this? By living with other people.
- You will have private areas for prayer, we have 25 acres of beautiful land
Why is it important for the future of your ministry?
- In ministry your phone rings, sometimes 24/7
- Your doorbell rings unexpectedly.
- You will have to give counsel in emergency situations at all times.
- Your private time will seem always interrupted .
- After one year of living in the dorms, you will have close friends that will last a lifetime.
- Memories of laughter, praying together, crying together and helping one another.
- The list can go on, I will share more with you at the Bible College.
Many years back, opening my first women's home and living with 16 women, I thought God had called me to help them grow, but little did I realize God was going to use those women, tight and close living quarters to prepare me for the future of my ministry, to preach the gospel around the world! Almost 29 years later, I still have wonderful memories and lifetime friends! If the dorms are filled, students will be able to check for off-campus housing or for sharing apartments.
