Oral Roberts

Oral Roberts started his ministry as a faith walker!

After not having success filling up his church meetings, the young Oral tried his best to evangelize. He really felt God called Him into the ministry and he wanted to see results.

Oral finally told the Lord he would schedule another meeting, if he had the same results, it would be his last. He negotiated with God, saying if people do not come and there is not enough money in the offering to pay for the auditorium, then he would know the Lord wanted him to continue preaching the gospel. If not, he would stop trying!

As he prepared to take the stage, the same old feeling came over him, he went out the auditorium was filled. He preached the word of God like never before. They passed the offering baskets and collected the offering. There was enough to pay for the building. That confirmation was all Oral Roberts needed. His ministry flourished as he held tent revivals all over the United States and even overseas. He is the founder of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which is still turning out men and women into the ministry to this day. The Hour of Healing television still airs on television. Oral Roberts pioneered a great work for the Lord and now his son, Richard Roberts heads up this vibrant ministry.
