Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity. While Jesus sitteth at the right hand of God the Father, He promised, He would send us the Helper (Comforter), the Holy Spirit. John 16:7-8, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:" and we can see also, in scripture, how important the Holy Spirit is, John 16:13-15, "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.."

As Christians, we are in great need of the Holy Spirit as never before, in Luke 4:1, we see how important it was for Jesus himself, to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to accomplish the great task and the commission that He was sent to earth to fulfill, miracles, signs, wonders and the Crucifixion, the conquering of death, hell and the grave and the resurrection. Let's read Luke 4:1, "Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,"

The Holy Spirit has been the subject of controversy, some churches have had major splits over the Holy Spirit because the lack of the understanding and not rightly dividing the Word. This subject, the Holy Spirit, is of great importance for every Christian, must be taught and broken down in order for you to have understanding.
