I have been in ministry for many years, I have learned a few things over the years, and I am still learning. But I want to share with you I have one of the best teams. I am very proud of them, and grateful for them. I love them dearly and trust them. They have been faithful, dedicated, and loyal. Did this just happen? NO! It took time to train and help them understand the vision for this ministry. Also, I train leaders every Sunday. This ministry reaches into over eight million homes with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I cannot When I first came to San Diego, in 1997 to build our ministry base, I knew it was very important to build leaders for A Touch From Above. In order to establish a Christian prayer mountain for the children of God to come and pray. I have thirty sermons a month I must prepare, write books, and meet people, build a Prayer Mountain, keep family time, work on music for my daughter, and run a business. Do you think for one minute I would think I could do this by myself? No way! I would be dead. The Bible has some wonderful counsel for leadership. First I love the ministry, it is great. I wake up and thank God everyday I can be apart of all He is doing. I have met many pastors, they are tired, and frustrated with ministry. Jesus said in, Matthew 11:30 "For my yolk is easy, my burden is light." Yet many men and women are in the ministry and hate the ministry. WHY? Most of the time they do not understand about leadership! How can we do all God wants us to do. Mark 16:15-16 "And He said unto them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. v16) He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe is condemned." The harvest is truly plentiful and ready to be brought in! But the laborers are few. God needs a leader! But how much more can be done with a team of leaders? We must train leaders. Pastors, do not think the people are just born leaders? They may be strong, but if they are not have the understanding of the vision the Lord has placed in your heart, how can they flow with the vision of the ministry? They will not flow if you do not train them. I have a wonderful tool to help you grow in learning to train leaders! In the Bookstore a twelve tape series on Effective Leadership. It comes with a book to help you understand how to train leaders. The book will have thirty lessons to train leaders. Pastor YOU REALLY DO HAVE LEADERS sitting right in your ministry! These tapes are a tool, it will help with your ministry, your job will become easier. I know you will be blessed! Do not get frustrated, train leaders, you will be so happy, and wake up in the morning having really rested, with peace, and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
