Mission America – Miracle - Day 16 Dateline, Tuesday, June 9, 2009. We are on the road and heading towards Atlanta again. Just leaving Prescott and thinking I am sorry I have not had time to write everyday. It’s like one day runs right into another; but I am excited. The four day tent meeting was a great success; how does one measure success? Religion always wants to measure by numbers; we did have a good number of people saved and a greater number of true repentance. Almost every person who walked into the tent was hungry for a touch from the Lord, having over 60 people in the tent every service, and increasing each night.
Our greatest measure of success was by establishing God’s dominion in the city through our truck and trailer; declaring the Hope of Jesus Christ; through our personal witness to over five thousand people in the Tri-Cities of, Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley; lifting up the ministers of the local churches and encouraging them to fight the fight of faith for their city. What value can you put on each persons life? Jesus came to visit us every service that is true success!
Many people came who were not going to church anymore, looking for answers for their life. Some coming with oxygen machines; and in a wheelchair, they needed a miracle. Teenagers had tattoos on their necks, forearms, and piercing all over. One young man had tattoos throughout his body like a roadmap. You just knew Jesus was needed in this place. Did I forget to mention withstanding over 40 mile an hour winds, every night until the last night when they ceased, and the unusually cold temperatures for Arizona! Thanks to everyone who prayed us through!
The last two nights of the tent meeting were amazing! The power of God came down, Heaven came to visit us. Having an altar call for compromise and challenging Christians to make a true stand for Christ. Almost everyone went forward, a few lingered in their seats, as I looked to the right and saw precocious teenagers, weeping as the power of God’s Spirit brought them to repentance. Young and old, the altar was filled. Asking Pastor Jay, who thinks he’s retired, (but we know like Moses, you are never retired); he came to help me pray for all the people. There was such a sweet presence of the Lord, who can express the wonder of His works? What God does in the heart of man in just a moment at an altar; who can describe? Prophets, preachers, teachers and evangelists are made at that special place, and repentance comes when deep hidden sin is revealed by the Holy Spirit. Wow, I am amazed at the goodness, mercy and the grace of My God! How Jesus loves people, (Thank you Dr. Laurie for dropping the seed in my heart to come to Prescott; what a glorious work the Holy Spirit did!)
Seeing strong mature men weep as they committed their heart to Jesus; it always touches my heart. Every night people were filled with the Holy Spirit’s power and began to speak in other tongues. They shall never be the same!
The fourth day and night was even more amazing! I met a Spirit-filled Foursquare Pastor who has a church in Prescott, called Hope Chapel. What a humble man; I felt in my heart that Beverly was to call him on our last day, which was Sunday and ask him if I could share about Mission America. He welcomed us and as we walked into his church, Sunday morning and sat in our chairs; some people were testifying. He and his wife had a sweet spirit. After the testimonies, he said, “Excuse me church,” and he stepped out of his pulpit, walked out into the congregation where we were sitting, stretched out his hand and said, “Welcome Dr. Luauna, you and your team.” He received us in the love of Jesus with respect and honor! He asked me to come forward and share; and before you knew it, the Holy Ghost took over. I had forgotten my glasses; couldn’t see my scriptures or the clock; thank God for the Holy Spirit. The pastor allowed me to continue on; and I felt such urgency to share about the harvest field, the power of the Holy Spirit and our Mission. I prayed for everyone, for a double filling of the Holy Spirit and for a true commitment to be soul winners. Before service was over Pastor Pitts led us all to shout, as Joshua did when the walls of Jericho came down; we shouted for Prescott, this was a God-ordained, appointment from Heaven to meet with this wonderful church and Pastor Sunday morning. He invited his whole church to come to the tent meeting and said he would be there that night.
Acts 16:14-15 I knew I was leaving Prescott and these new believers had to have a church home to grow in. The Lord brought Pastor Jay Riley who had been a pastor of a church in California for over 30 years, he sat humbly every tent meeting, receiving and excited about Jesus; he brought people to every service and ministered love to the new believers. The Lord also brought Pastor Les Pitts, his church is a great place, and filled with love. These new baby Christians will be left in good hands! Genesis 12:3-4, The Lord told Abraham He would bless those who blessed Him on his journey; we were truly blessed in Prescott and I cannot thank these special friends enough:
