Mission America – Miracle Day 3 Dateline, May 27, 2009. Arriving in Flagstaff late Tuesday afternoon, we had time to prepare our bunks, unpack, and get a nice shower. I planned to visit a friend’s church Wednesday night, after all being so close I could not just pass by without saying, “Hello.” We had a full day to regroup and accomplish what needed to be done, it was nice. I needed a little rest from all the tire problems. The door opened for our tent meeting to be done in Prescott, Arizona first, then we will go to Atlanta, Georgia, Lord willing. I am excited to see all the Lord has planned for the Prescott Tent Meeting. Waking up early on Wednesday, we decided to go out and find a place to sit down, have coffee and breakfast. The waitress, was training, and saw our shirts; she said, “I used to go to youth group when I was younger.” I shared how much Jesus loved her, she was so touched, and when we were leaving she came up to me and asked me to please pray for her friend, who was going through rehab. I told her we would pray, and she said she would go to church. I gave her my friend’s church address, and his name. She said, “I will go to church on Sunday.” Back at camp, finding time to write, I sat down finally having time for my mind to rest. I felt the Holy Spirit’s presence so strong it brought me to tears. I looked around because I could not stop crying. Amazed, wow, finally! We worked hard for such a long time to do Mission – America, it has been a dream in my heart for many years. As I thought about the team at home on Prayer Mountain, I could not do this without them! I am honored to be their pastor, these strong men are not only men of God, they are former Vietnam vets who understand serving, sacrifice and dedication. They all have a heart for the lost, the Holy Spirit sent them to this ministry, A Touch From Above. Mr. George, Mr. Pete, Dr. Turner, and Mr. Charlie, WOW…! An overwhelming gratefulness surrounded me, God’s love, especially how He has surrounded me with wonderful people. I could not stop the tears, “Thank you Jesus!” All I could do was cry; it didn’t matter about the 4 blown tires. Meeting these wonderful people, who were heaven sent…! We will be heading for Prescott, Arizona on Friday. Everywhere we GO people are amazed at the trailer, and our Mission! This day is just the beginning of GREAT things God always shows Himself faithful. We cannot forget those who got saved; two seven year old boys at the playground; Scott and Bradon.
