Mission America – Miracle - Day 7 Dateline, May 31, 2009. Waking up at 4:45 a.m., we had coffee due to Jill! Thank God because the overnight temperature was less than 45 degrees, BRRRR!! The air leaked out of my air mattress and boy was I cold!!! Maybe after seven days, we will get this camping down. (Smile) Everyone of the team went into motion, “Lock and Load,” we got ready for service at the campground. Rhonda and Kaweah dressed in black slacks and our Mission America t-shirts, keyboard in hand, they marched to the pavilion and started singing. Wow! The power of the Holy Spirit came pouring down from Heaven. Kaweah’s voice could be heard throughout the whole park, I could hear her from our tent site, and it sounded like Kaweah and Rhonda were accompanied by angels!!! The minute I stood to join them to sing, the Holy Spirit came down from Heaven. As we were singing people were coming with chairs in hand from every direction. About 14 people came to sit down and many more stood and sat afar off through the whole service, they definitely heard the message. I gave an altar call and a call for those who needed healing! Praying for those who were sick and preaching the straight Word. As I looked around, a wonderful woman was weeping as the Holy Spirit touched her, what a sweet presence of the Holy Spirit. People throughout the whole park heard the Word of God. Jesus is wonderful!! Looking at the clock, we had 15 minutes to make it to another church service at the Prescott First Assembly of God, so we could meet Pastor Steve, the senior pastor. I wanted to meet him in person and ask permission to use his lot, it is a perfect location. We made it a few minutes late, found chairs and entered into prayer. The pastor’s sermon was about child-like faith – it was a great message. We waited around for the Pastor to finish speaking to his church members, we know how that goes. Finally, after everyone left, Pastor Adam, the youth pastor came to show us his youth church (pretty cool setting). He is amazing because his young people greeted us and welcomed us in love. I know the Lord has great things ahead for Adam; this is only the beginning for him. Meeting the senior pastor, he asked for references, funny, Jesus was a man of no reputation. I am not here to make a name for myself or for recognition. I have only one purpose!! To save souls!! I will wait one more day for his decision, and then we look for another lot. Time is so important, our goal is to have our tent up before Wednesday and start our Tent Meeting Thursday night – Sunday night; this is a harvest field, ripe for the Gospel! We stopped by the Goodwill store to get a few items we did not bring for cold weather, wool socks, wool hat, etc. Who did we run into again, the precious couple we met a few days ago in another city, Ken and Trisha; we told them God has a GPS! What are the odds of being in their path five days later in another city? I would say remarkable! God has a plan, Ken said he would talk to his pastor about a lot for our tent meeting; they really want to help us out. We witnessed everywhere we went, passing out gospel tracts every chance we get. A young man named, Joe (Joseph) prayed for salvation, he was the cashier at the Goodwill store! |
