San Jacinto College Foundation 1995-2007 – Member, Federal Bar Association I have known Attorney Rich Ackerman for over six years, he is a man with high morals and integrity. I am honored and count it a great privilege to have him as A Volunteer Faculty Member. He stood by A Touch From Above, as our attorney, while we obtained a Major Use Permit. Having someone who is willing to fight for what was right, Mr. Ackerman, helped us to complete and obtain a California Major Use Permit to utilize our land. Attorney Rich Ackerman is one of the best lawyers I have ever known, I am humbled to have him join our members. A true Christian, who stands strong, and is willing to fight for what is right. He will also be teaching from time to time, religious liberties, First Amendment rights of churches, 501c3 issues, charitable giving law, and related issues. Each student will walk away with wisdom, be forever changed, and will grow in knowledge that is greatly needed in the days ahead. Mrs. Lydia Swain graduated from Central Bible College of the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Missouri with a major in Missions.1964-1980 Missionary to Korea and Thailand; 1981-1996 Personal assistant and director of Foreign Affairs for Dr. David Yonggi Cho Yoido Full Gospel Church, Seoul, South Korea; 1996-present Speaker The Swains served as missionaries from 1964-1980 in Korea and Thailand. They were involved extensively in the Good News Club teaching, ministry to refugees and orphans, church planting and Sunday school ministries, and enrolling students in ICI University. After the death of her husband, Henry Swain, in 1981, Mrs. Lydia Swain returned to Korea as personal secretary and Director of Foreign Affairs to Dr. David Yonggi Cho, senior pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul which has the distinction of being the world’s largest church. She conducted weekly home cell ministry groups in her home, provided counseling/prayer ministry for those who called in, and oversaw an internship program for Bible College and seminary students at the Yoido Full Gospel Church. She retired from that post in 1996. Since retiring in Baton Rouge, Louisiana she has been honored to speak in District Council Women's Meetings for the Assemblies of God, prayer retreats, missions' conventions and prayer seminars in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Florida. We are honored and privileged to have Mrs. Swain who is a true General of the faith as a Volunteer Faculty Member. Her wisdom and years of experience are an asset and a blessing beyond measure to our University.
Rhonda ButcherMs. Rhonda Butcher has had 40 years of experience as a singer, musician (piano, organ, drums, and clarinet), composer, and praise and worship leader. Her knowledge and passion for God’s Word concerning the importance of praise and worship as it pertains to the development of the total-man. Her many years of experience are an asset to the training of men and women for ministry; including experience ministering in conferences, conventions, various ceremonies, and services. 1979 - BS Degree & Minor in Accounting; Harding University, Searcy, AR. 1979 - 1981 - Organist, Edzell, Scotland 1981 - 1986 - Music Minister, Marshall Chapel Baptist Church, Jacksonville, NC 1986 - 1990 - Music Minister, Faith In The Word, Twenty Nine Palms, CA. 1990 - 1994 - Assistant Pastor and Minister of Music, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. 1995 - 2002 - Music Minister, Praise Fellowship, San Diego, CA. 2003 - 2006 - Music Minister, Greater Restoration Ministries, Little Rock, AR 2007 - Graduate of Remington College, w/honors on President’s List, Little Rock, AR 2008 - Present, A Touch From Above-University & Seminary, Music Minister & Director While Rhonda Butcher lived in Scotland, she noticed a large diversity of people which did not attend chapel services. She initiated a gospel group, to draw more people to salvation. Beginning with a group of three, it grew to over 40 members and became known as the Gospel Edz’s. The Gospel group traveled extensively throughout Scotland, Wales, and England to render musical concerts representing the Royal Air Force Edzell, Scotland. The Holy Spirit drew a number of people; extra security had to be maintained for the gates and base due to overflow. People had to be turned away because of no seating. Mr. Charles DoldBorn in Buffalo, New York on August 6, 1922, he married Henri Willig in 1948 and they had four children: Charles, Adrienne, Claudia, and Pamela. Charles & Henri Dold were married for 55 years until she passed away five years ago, as he says, “Which was not nearly long enough.” 1940-1943 Oberlin College, Enrolled (Interrupted WWII) 1946-1947 Oberlin College, Bachelor of Arts, Chemistry Major 1947-1949 Harvard Business School, Masters in Business Admin 1943-1946 Army Air Force • Served as an Air Force Bomber Pilot, • Flew 35 missions over Germany during World War II • Discharged with the rank of Major. Helped Build 1961-1964 California Lutheran College, Thousand Oaks, CA as Treasurer 1964-1967 American University, Cairo, Egypt – Business Manager 1967-1988 Employed as Finance Officer for the Following Organizations: • Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York • Wagner College, Staten Island, New York • Child Welfare Information Service, New York City • State University of New York Charitable Non-profit Organization (Assisted in Finance) • Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions • National Council of Churches • Child Welfare Information Service • Church World Service 1988 – Present, Member, First Congregational Church in Ramona, CA 2008 – Present, Started attending A Touch From Above Services What a privilege and an honor to have Mr. Charles Dold, general of the faith; a well-accomplished individual. The first day I met Mr. Dold, as he came to one of our church services, I knew this man was special. It was obvious that Mr. Dold was born-again and his incredible love for Jesus was evident, I was touched to the heart. He is a brave, hero, having served our country I am humbled and honored to have Mr. Charles Dold as one of our volunteer faculty members, his support, wisdom and his counsel is priceless. I pray that I can accomplish and touch the hearts of thousands as he has touched thousands around the world.
