I have known Attorney Rich Ackerman for over six years, he is a man with high morals and integrity. I am honored and count it a great privilege to have him as A Volunteer Faculty Member. He stood by A Touch From Above, as our attorney, while we obtained a Major Use Permit. Having someone who is willing to fight for what was right, Mr. Ackerman, helped us to complete and obtain a California Major Use Permit to utilize our land. Attorney Rich Ackerman is one of the best lawyers I have ever known, I am humbled to have him join our members. A true Christian, who stands strong, and is willing to fight for what is right. He will also be teaching from time to time, religious liberties, First Amendment rights of churches, 501c3 issues, charitable giving law, and related issues. Each student will walk away with wisdom, be forever changed, and will grow in knowledge that is greatly needed in the days ahead.

Mrs. Lydia Swain Mrs. Lydia Swain graduated from Central Bible College of the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Missouri with a major in Missions.

1964-1980 Missionary to Korea and Thailand;
1981-1996 Personal assistant and director of Foreign Affairs for Dr. David Yonggi Cho Yoido Full Gospel Church, Seoul, South Korea; 1996-present Speaker

The Swains served as missionaries from 1964-1980 in Korea and Thailand. They were involved extensively in the Good News Club teaching, ministry to refugees and orphans, church planting and Sunday school ministries, and enrolling students in ICI University. After the death of her husband, Henry Swain, in 1981, Mrs. Lydia Swain returned to Korea as personal secretary and Director of Foreign Affairs to Dr. David Yonggi Cho, senior pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul which has the distinction of being the world’s largest church. She conducted weekly home cell ministry groups in her home, provided counseling/prayer ministry for those who called in, and oversaw an internship program for Bible College and seminary students at the Yoido Full Gospel Church. She retired from that post in 1996.

Since retiring in Baton Rouge, Louisiana she has been honored to speak in District Council Women's Meetings for the Assemblies of God, prayer retreats, missions' conventions and prayer seminars in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Florida. We are honored and privileged to have Mrs. Swain who is a true General of the faith as a Volunteer Faculty Member. While Rhonda Butcher lived in Scotland, she noticed a large diversity of people which did not attend chapel services. She initiated a gospel group, to draw more people to salvation. Beginning with a group of three, it grew to over 40 members and became known as the Gospel Edz’s. The Gospel group traveled extensively throughout Scotland, Wales, and England to render musical concerts representing the Royal Air Force Edzell, Scotland. The Holy Spirit drew a number of people; extra security had to be maintained for the gates and base due to overflow. People had to be turned away because of no seating. Upon her departure, Ms. Rhonda Butcher received the following Commendations: from Chief of Chaplains, Edzell Scotland:
  1. Navy Unit Commendation Metal
  2. Outstanding Performance Award
  3. Certificate of Commendation
